The DWP has announced the appointment of Deborah Evans as the new Chair of the Pensions Ombudsman.
Ms Evans currently serves as Non-executive Director and Chair of the Compliance Committee at the Property Ombudsman. She took up the new post on July 1, 2025, taking over from Anthony Arter, who has served as Interim Chair since January 2024.
The DWP has also announced the appointment of Kirstin Baker as the new Interim Chair of the Regulator, effective from August 1, 2025, for a period of up to nine months.
Ms Baker will succeed Sarah Smart, former Chair.
