Maneesha Gupta practises in all aspects of intellectual property law with an emphasis on complex patent and trade-mark litigation.
Prior to joining us, Ms. Gupta worked in the financial services industry on cloud and enterprise technology matters, including embedded systems, image processing, and data encryption hardware and software. She brings specific knowledge in addressing the unique concerns posed by emerging technologies and trends, including artificial intelligence and big data. She has also gained knowledge in a variety of regulatory, commercial, and intellectual property matters while articling at a global law firm.
During law school, Ms. Gupta clerked for a federal court and worked with cannabis businesses on licensing and IP. She also held executive positions with Osgoode's The Obiter Dicta and TheCourt.Ca. Prior to entering legal practice, Ms. Gupta managed informational technology projects in the areas of data security and mobile application deployment.
Ms. Gupta judges various national advocacy competitions and has guest lectured at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Ted Rogers School of Management.
