Germany Press release - People March 2024

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has strengthened its restructuring practice as of 1 March 2024 with the appointment of Daniel Arends. Arends comes from Brinkmann & Partner and joins the firm's Hamburg office as Counsel.

Daniel Arends (39) has extensive and long-standing experience in advising on restructuring and insolvency. He advises German and international companies, financiers and other stakeholders in connection with financial restructurings and insolvency law issues. Prior to joining Brinkmann & Partner, he worked for several years as a lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Linklaters. "Norton Rose Fulbright's restructuring practice has a remarkable track record, an excellent reputation both nationally and internationally and is therefore an excellent platform for my further ambitious work. I am very much looking forward to contributing my expertise in restructuring and insolvency law and playing my part in continuing Norton Rose Fulbright's success story," said Arends.

For Norton Rose Fulbright, the addition of Daniel Arends is already the second strengthening of the restructuring practice in early 2024. Previously, Martina Rabe joined the firm's Munich office as a Senior Consultant.

Dr Sylwia Maria Bea-Pulverich, partner and Co-Head of Restructuring EMEA, comments: "With Daniel Arends, our restructuring practice has once again gained a renowned addition within a short period of time.
