German team advises Leonardo Hotels on the acquisition of the Sir Nikolai Hotel in Hamburg

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised the Leonardo Hotel Group on the acquisition of the individual hotel Sir Nikolai from the Sircle Collection in Hamburg. With the acquisition, Leonardo Hotels is introducing its Leonardo Limited Edition brand in Germany for the first time.

The Nikolai Hotel in Hamburg is located in a listed seven-storey building on the Nikolaifleet canal and comprises a total of 94 rooms and suites. With the acquisition of the hotel and the introduction of the new Leonardo Limited Edition brand in Germany, Leonardo Hotels is now represented with a total of five brands in Germany and nine hotels in Hamburg.

Headquartered in Berlin, Leonardo Hotels Group has more than 270 hotels in 21 countries including the EU, UK and Israel. The Leonardo Limited Edition brand comprises a curated collection of individual hotels with a special design. The spectrum ranges from small suite hotels to grand hotels in beach locations.

Norton Rose Fulbright advised Leonardo Hotels comprehensively on the transaction negotiations, the legal and tax due diligence as well as on the financing and W&I insurance.
