Biography
Isaiah Neve is a Patent Agent in Norton Rose Fulbright's Austin office. He is a scientist interested in the convergence of international affairs, science, law, and business. He has a formal education in the biological sciences, with a focus on genetics and molecular biology, and has previous work experience in intellectual property services, retail services, and marketing. His work in intellectual property has focused on patent drafting, patent prosecution, portfolio management, capital raise due diligence, and freedom to operate analyses for a range of small to multinational companies with diverse focuses in the biotechnology space.

Isaiah's PhD research was focused on reproductive aging, metabolism, environmental sensing, and post-transcriptional RNA modifications. His hands on lab experience includes extensive work with gene editing tools, confocal microscopy, and nucleic acid sequencing. While pursuing his PhD, Isaiah was a team leader for the BioVentures entrepreneurship course, where his team focused on creating a business plan to develop and commercialize a proprietary non-opioid painkiller; he was also a leader and graduate for the BCM Team Launch and Team Projects skill building educational program.
With an interest in global affairs and policy, Isaiah is a frequent attendee of The Baker Institute and The World Affairs Council in Houston. During his time at Queen's University Belfast, Isaiah was founder and president of the QUB Dodgeball club and a member of the Northern Ireland International Dodgeball team.
