Maritime Employers Association renews collective agreement at the Port of Montreal

Our Montreal office is advising the Maritime Employers Association on the renewal of its collective agreement at the Port of Montreal. The negotiations started two years ago and included a strike of more than 20 days, impacting multiple Canadian industries. Our office was involved in negotiating a truce deal that was carried out for seven months, ending in March 2021. We are currently involved in the negotiations for renewal of the collective agreement before the end of the truce.

This file is significant given that it involves one of the most important ports in Canada and could therefore affect the Quebec and Canadian economies.
