Alex Kokach is part of the firm’s general counsel team, acting as senior compliance counsel.  In this role, he advises members of the firm and assists the general counsel and head of risk on a variety of legal and regulatory issues presented by the firm’s new and existing business.  He  provides subject matter expertise on conflicts of interest and sanctions, and reviews and helps negotiate firm engagement agreements, panel appointments and client non-disclosure agreements.

Prior to his current role, Alex practised in a litigation boutique, where he acted for insurers, regulators and individual clients in commercial and employment disputes.

Alex initially joined us as a summer student in 2016 and returned the following year as an articling student.  During his articles, Alex completed a secondment with the Toronto Hydro Corporation.
