Biography
Nathan Green is a lawyer in our Calgary office's litigation and disputes group, with a focus on energy regulatory and environmental matters. Nathan has assisted clients before the Alberta Utilities Commission, the Alberta Energy Regulator, the Canada Energy Regulator, the Northwest Territories Public Utilities Board, and at all levels of court in Alberta.
Nathan has experience supporting clients in the electric power and oil and gas sectors. He has been involved in facility approval applications and hearings, various electric utility regulatory proceedings, environmental investigations and prosecutions, and dispute resolution.
Before joining us in 2025, Nathan practised at a prominent national law firm in Calgary for two years after completing his articles. He also worked briefly as a summer law student for a large electric power distribution utility during law school.

- An international renewable power developer with obtaining approvals to construct and operate a 150 MW solar power facility in southern Alberta.
- Electric power distribution utilities in both Alberta and the Northwest Territories with various regulatory compliance and rates matters, both as applicant and intervener.
- A major oil and gas company with regulatory compliance matters related to completing a $12.7 billion swap transaction of working interests in a major upstream oil sands development and related midstream and downstream assets.
