2025 Indigenous internship program
Our Program
Norton Rose Fulbright is committed to developing engaged and skilled legal professionals, which includes providing a unique experience for 1 talented undergraduate student to participate in a paid Indigenous undergraduate legal internship program. The program will provide opportunities to gain valuable experience in private practice.
The program will take place at Norton Rose Fulbright’s Calgary office and will begin in May and end in August. Over the course of the summer, you will work with great people, including talented lawyers, summer and articling students, and members of our business services groups.
The summer intern work is challenging and rewarding. All the tools for embarking on your legal career will be at your disposal. You will be assigned a mentor who will provide guidance and facilitate a comprehensive experience. That experience will include exposure to: legal research and writing; building and working in teams; law firm operations; professional development sessions; and invitations to a collection of social events that take place throughout the summer. You’ll also be a part of our broader summer student team, who will generally have completed one to two years of law school.
Our aim is to facilitate your exposure to the legal and professional services environments, help you learn about the legal profession, and provide networking opportunities. Along the way, you will have the benefit of great mentorship, practical training and development, and meaningful feedback.
