La Presse: Imran Ahmad discusses integrating AI in manufacturing and how some companies are hesitant

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly recognized as a key driver of success, many manufacturing companies in Quebec are eager to reap the benefits of integrating it into their operations. While some companies have successfully implemented artificial intelligence, others remain hesitant about the technology and are still focused on automation and data collection. Imran Ahmad, Canadian Head of Technology and Co-head of Information Governance, Privacy and Cybersecurity, spoke to La Presse’s Karim Benessaieh on the topic. "There is a certain hesitation; people are afraid to change everything suddenly." To address these concerns, however, he believes that a gradual implementation of artificial intelligence for certain less critical functions is the best approach for companies and emphasizes the potential of this technology to enable smaller businesses to be more competitive.
