Generative artificial intelligence tools are growing in popularity, but none more so than ChatGPT. Launched last November by OpenAI, this conversational robot has taken the world by storm and is being used by companies and people worldwide. It can speak, generate text, write code, answer questions, write an essay – you name it, it can do it. But what are the legal implications of using material produced by ChatGPT? Imran Ahmad, our partner and Canadian head of technology and co-head of information governance, privacy and cybersecurity, spoke to journalist Maxime Johnson about the risks of using content generated by ChatGPT.
