Shawn Sanford is a seasoned operations and procurement executive who has led a number of high-performing teams in professional services firms over his career. His current remit includes procurement, real estate, travel management, facility operations, as well as ESG and business continuity. Since joining us, he has played a pivotal role in transforming the procurement function in Canada and was at the forefront of the firm’s response to the pandemic. His mandate recently expanded to include sustainability, a signal of the value the firm places on its carbon footprint and impact.

Shawn began his career in the Canadian Armed Forces as a combat radio operator where he developed a passion for process improvement.  He leveraged that experience to build a rewarding career at a major global consulting firm where he developed well-recognized expertise on procurement and was routinely called upon to provide guidance on large procurement-related mandates.

Shawn is a skilled strategist who is passionate about service and can also navigate challenging and highly matrixed environments. He has earned a reputation for delivering pragmatic advice and finding innovative solutions to complex situations. He combines strong functional know-how with business acumen and risk management. He excels at building trust and fostering a collaborative approach across levels and functions.

In his spare time, Shawn teaches and mentors youth on weekends.
