Daniel Wang

Biography

Daniel Wang is an intellectual property lawyer based in Toronto. His practice focuses on the acquisition and protection of intellectual property rights.

Since originally joining the firm as a summer student, Daniel has concentrated on examination and original drafting for patent applications in various subject matter areas, including mechanical devices, manufacturing processes, power circuits, medical devices, and software patents for computer-implemented innovations relating to machine learning / artificial intelligence, distributed ledger, blockchain, and trading technologies. Daniel has supported patent prosecution in multiple international jurisdictions, leading to allowances at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to attending Osgoode Hall Law School, Daniel graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, where he studied and researched subject matters in thermodynamics, structural engineering, material science, control systems, and computer science.

Daniel is professionally fluent in Chinese and has supported original patent drafting for examination by the China National Intellectual Property Administration.
