Biography
Heather Cameron is a partner in our employment and labour group. Ms. Cameron practises in all areas of employment, labour, privacy and human rights laws both in the federal and provincial jurisdictions.
Ms. Cameron regularly works with employers to draft policies, best practices and protocols to ensure legislative compliance and minimize risk, including but not limited to employment standards, anti-harassment and anti-bullying, disability accommodation, privacy and occupational health and safety practices. Ms. Cameron has also advised and represented employers in contract negotiations, wrongful and unjust dismissal suits, human rights tribunal proceedings, judicial review applications and labour board proceedings.
She regularly advises employers, agencies, service providers, companies, and healthcare providers on the proper collection, use, disclosure, and security of protected personal information.
Ms. Cameron joined us as a summer student and has been with us since 2008.
