Laura DeLuca
Biography
Laura DeLuca’s corporate and commercial law practice focuses on banking and corporate finance, with an emphasis on syndicated financings, asset-based and cash-flow lending, and securitizations. She acts for Canadian and foreign financial institutions, other non-bank credit providers, and corporate borrowers with respect to financing transactions across a variety of industries and asset classes.
Prior to joining us, Laura was senior legal counsel at a Schedule I Canadian bank where her predominant expertise was advising its structured/specialized finance and syndicated lending group on structuring, negotiating, and establishing lending arrangements and on-going facility administration matters. Her experience in-house provides Laura with a unique, practical understanding of institutional priorities and operational considerations, allowing for the delivery of pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
Laura is also presently completing her Master of Laws in Financial Law at Osgoode Hall Law School where she is enhancing her practice by, in particular, further developing her skills in financial institutions regulation and corporate insolvency and restructuring matters.
