New EU Anti-Corruption Framework

Our disputes and regulations and investigations teams have written an article on the new anti-corruption package proposed by the European Commission by the new Directive which, if implemented, would require EU Member States to meet common standards in their anti-corruption legislation. It discusses the aims of the Directive, how it will affect companies with operations in EU Member States and the practical challenges they may face. The article also offers a helpful comparison between the new Directive with the UK Border Agency, the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the French Criminal Code and Sapin II law.
